What Doctors Are Saying

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical traction based treatment outcome for herniated or bulging discs in the neck and lower back. The process involves intermittently stretching and relaxing the spine in a safe controlled environment. Anyone suffering from back, neck, arm or leg pain may be helped by spinal decompression therapy. Countless patients have been able to overcome conditions such as ruptured discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, facet syndrome, etc. without having surgery.

How many spinal decompression sessions will be needed and are they painful?

The number of sessions needed and your specific treatment plan will be determined by the doctor after your examination.

In almost all cases, the treatments are completely painless. In fact, some patients fall asleep during the spinal decompression session.

What makes spinal decompression therapy so effective?

Doctor skill combined with the table and computerized traction head are the keys. Proper assessment, correct positioning and the use of pre-programmed patterns of distraction and relaxation may reduce disc pressure allowing necessary nutrients to enliven and accelerate disc healing.

Are there conditions where Spinal Decompression Therapy is not indicated?

Spinal decompression therapy is not recommended for pregnant women, patients who have osteoporosis, severe obesity or nerve damage. Spinal surgery with instrumentation (screws, metal plates or “cages”) is also a contraindication for treatment.  However, spinal decompression therapy after bone fusion or non-fusion spinal surgery, can be performed.

Will insurance cover the cost of my spinal decompression program?

YES! Most insurance plans provide coverage for the cost of our spinal decompression program. While reimbursement can vary, your out-of-pocket expense for all needed services could be as little as your co-payment

Do most patients receive therapy and rehabilitative exercises in addition to Spinal Decompression Therapy?

To reduce inflammation and assist the healing process, supporting structures are treated with passive therapies (ice/heat/muscle stimulation), chiropractic adjustments (as indicated) and/or active rehabilitation in order to strengthen the spinal musculature

"Serial MRI of 20 patients treated with the decompression table shows in our study up to 90% reduction of subligamentous nucleus herniation in 10 of 14. Some rehydration occurs detected by T2 and proton density signal increase. Torn annulus repair is seen in all."

Eyerman Edward | MD

"Decompression of the spine proved to be superior to the other forms of conservative care when applied to our patient. The patients' results were both subjectively favorable and objectively quantified."

Terry Yochum | DC

"Eighty-six percent of ruptured intervertebral disc (RID) patients achieved 'good' (50-89% improvement) to 'excellent' (90-100% improvement) results with decompression. Sciatica and back pain were relieved.... Of the facet arthrosis patients, 75% obtained 'good' to 'excellent' results with decompression."

I have never been to a Chiropractor before, but I have been to physical therapy before for my back, but I was in so much pain.  Been in a lot of pain for a month, had tried so many pills and stretches nothing would work and my boss got me connected here. They treated me like a person and not like a patient, they listened to me, to what was wrong, and knew right away what I needed.

Best chiropractic clinic I've been to.  I'm an older competitive gymnast and active in the Army National Guard so I'm very busy with athletics.  The chiropractors here have been so great at listening to my aches and pains and giving me ideas for strengthening and relief.  I would highly recommend to anyone.

This place has been very helpful for me. I had a car accident and could barely turn my head to the right before coming here. Now I am able to turn my head easier and even though my particular situation is a slow process, they don't make me feel like I am a burden. The doctor is really gentle, the massage therapists are great and I love all the girls here. They are super friendly, make me feel very welcome and help me with ease when it comes to making or changing appointments. I would definitely recommend.

They really care about their patients. Super awesome chiro care. I used to work for a chiropractor, and was exposed to many different types of chiropractic. Probably my best chiropractic experience as a whole! I would recommend them to anyone!
